Operations : VoIP Technicians


Qualification Requirements

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

New Installations:
  • Install, operate, maintain, modify and repair phone systems and data equipment. 
  • Work with TIG’s project management team to satisfy customer requirements, ensuring best possible customer experience.
  • Work with voice and data carriers to ensure a smooth cutover.
  • Install telephone endpoints and peripherals.
  • Provides information to Sales/Operations team based on customer feedback for use in Account Planning and Analysis and the Sales Engineering Process.
  • Be onsite at customer premises for cutover and follow up.
  • Provide post installation support.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be comfortable with conducting occasional training sessions on usage of telephones and peripherals.
  • Maintain expert technical proficiency on all services and systems in TIG’s product line, including successful completion of any required technical certification or training.
  • May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the business 

    Existing Customer Service: 

  • Provide onsite and remote support to our existing customer base.

  • Duties may include troubleshooting call routing issues and equipment failures, dealing with voice and data network outages, working with voice and data carriers in the event of outages and for troubleshooting.

  • Professionally handles routine customer relations and training.

  • The technician will be mainly in the field but will occasionally be in the office to provide support to our in-house service team.

  • Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested.

Education And/Or Experience

Applicant must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of Mitel phone systems is preferred but a telecommunications background is required. Data networking background is required. CCNA or similar background preferred. Must have reliable daily transportation. Mileage is paid and overtime hours are available based on work load. Occasional travel may be required.


PC Intern will work with TIG's Project Coordinator across departments both internally at TIG and externally with customers.

Qualification Requirements

Intern will be organized and have strong communication skills along with an aptitude for technology.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • To assist in gathering data
  • Help with planning and scheduling installations and work crews
  • Interface with Sales and Purchasing on the ordering of software and hardware
  • Work with TIG technicians on implementation and the roll out of new systems
  • Will work with the project team and customer to develop and deliver customized end user training.  

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

Qualification Requirements
