SimplER for Mitel® 3300 Systems

InGenius SimplER is an efficient emergency notification application that emails the appropriate First Responders whenever someone in your organization calls 911 (or up to 5 emergency numbers). For users of the Mitel 3300 IP-PBX.

What do people love about it?

It’s Simple.  Someone’s in trouble, someone makes an emergency call, your First Responders are sent an email immediately.

It’s Pertinent.  The email that is sent includes information on the type of call, the caller identity based on an Active Directory lookup, and the physical location of the caller based on the CESID (e.g., which building/floor/area).

It’s Specific.  The First Responder recipient list can be as specific as you need.  SimplER uses Active Directory to determine who to notify when someone makes a call; and, it can also use the Mitel 3300 Customer Emergency Service ID (“CESID”) of the caller, to further pinpoint who to contact. You can have offices all over the city or the country, but when someone is in trouble you want to notify the people who can help – SimplER lets you do this.

Not only do you know that someone called 911, you also know who that person is and where they sit so that you can respond fast.

It works with Active Directory.  No need to maintain a separate database of First Responders. Just enter the appropriate First Responders Email Group per entry in Active Directory.

Who wants it?

  • The Head of Security
  • Senior Management
  • Public Institutions
  • Enterprises
  • Every organization who wants to know if one of their staff is in trouble

How Does SimplER Work?

  1. User initiates emergency call.
  2. SNMP trap picks up the emergency call at the 3300 switch. SimplER server is notified.
  3. SimplER initiates look-up in Active Directory.
  4. SimplER generates email to appropriate First Responders.

Technical Features

  • Works with Mitel 3300 IP-PBX, and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Monitors for up to 5 types of emergency calls – you can program numbers to watch for:  911, 999, 8888, etc.
  • Looks up the Active Directory record for the extension placing the call.
  • Uses the CESID location field in 3300 IP-PBX to determine which First Responders should be notified. For instance, responders can be grouped by emergency number dialed (i.e. 911, 8888, etc.) or by originating CESID (i.e. a particular building, department, office, etc.) or combinations thereof.
  • Can notify multiple individuals or multiple Active Directory groups
  • The format of the notification email is easily customized, and includes data fields where you can insert the information about the extension that placed the call.
  • Works with any email system – sends email using generic SMTP.
  • Can be installed on your own Windows Server - we recommend a UPS protected server in a server room.
