Mitel Your Assistant Release 4.0 is now available to order. Your Assistant Release 4.0 adds a number of important features, including: support for Your Assistant Desktop Phone in a Citrix environment, support for shared presence, telephony and chat across multiple Your Assistant servers and basic integration with Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 presence and Instant Messaging.
To coincide with the launch of Your Assistant Release 4.0 software, the Your Assistant licensing and pricing structure has been simplified. These changes took effect from August 1, 2007.
Note: Since the Your Assistant 4.0 bulletin PA20070026 was posted on July 1, 2007 successful verification testing with Citrix Presentation server version 4.5 has been completed. Your Assistant 4.0 is therefore supported with Citrix Presentation server versions 4.0 and 4.5 (in Desktop Phone mode only).
Target Market / Opportunity / Positioning
Mitel Your Assistant™ is a "Unified Communications" dashboard that integrates presence and availability, Secure Instant Messaging, Audio Conferencing and Video and Data Collaboration with the call control of the Mitel 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) or Mitel SX-200 IP Communications Platform (ICP).
Your Assistant also enables users to manage contact information and set their own call handling policies at the desktop. It is also a feature rich, fully functional softphone that can provide full access to communications and collaboration from any location with a high-speed Internet connection - enabling those on the road or working from home to communicate and collaborate as if at the office. Fully modular, Your Assistant can support audio only; audio, video and data; and multiple media simultaneously, as required by the collaborative requirements of users and organizations.
Release 4.0 provides support for a number of important features and functions that increase the deployment options for Your Assistant, including:
Citrix® support for desktop phone mode (Citrix presentation server version 4.0 and 4.5 is supported)
Shared presence, telephony, and chat across multiple Your Assistant servers
Microsoft® Office Live Communications Server 2005 presence and IM integration
Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 7 support for Your Assistant Collaboration Option
